Kalamazoo Case Study
The management team at Metropolis Entertainment were instrumental in the conception, development and supply of a complete 60 seat 4D cinema, including a 10 minute 3D animated film in full high definition resolution, which has won a number of awards. A Morphis 20 seat capsule simulator complete with a 3D animated experience of a journey to the international space station was also part of the project.
Bob Ellis, director of the museum said:
"We wanted to go beyond 3D. We were hearing comments like it can't be done or you can't afford it if it could be done and of course cost is always a big issue. We got to know some of the AI Camber people through the big IAAPA conference in Florida but we'd never spoke to them about this. Its big, it's you know, it's more than a 4D, this is an effects theatre. We travelled round the country looking at different proposals but these guys got their act together and they've actually pulled off now what we believe is now one of the most powerful stories and presentations in the nation and maybe the world today."
For their contribution to the project Paul Spence and Steve Judd are noted personally on a plaque at the entrance to the museum.
